What does changing DPI actually do?
DPI controls how densely pixels are printed. Changing DPI while keeping pixel dimensions changes the printed size, without adding image detail. A 1,920 × 1,080 image at 300 DPI prints at 6.4 × 3.6 inches.
Which images can I use?
JPG, PNG, WebP, TIFF, HEIC/HEIF, GIF, BMP, AVIF, and self-contained SVG. AVIF decoding depends on your browser. Unsupported or damaged files show a specific error. GIFs and multi-page TIFFs export their first frame or page; animated PNG and WebP stay animated only when their original encoding can be preserved.
Will my image quality change?
Keeping pixel dimensions and the original PNG, JPG, or WebP format changes density metadata without re-encoding the image. Resizing or switching formats creates a new image and may remove metadata. JPG and WebP use your export quality; PNG and TIFF are lossless exports. Transparency is preserved in PNG, TIFF, and WebP; JPG uses your chosen background.
What are the size limits?
20 images per batch, up to 50 MB per file and 150 MB total. Converted files can total up to 250 MB per batch. Inputs can contain up to 50 million pixels. Resized or re-encoded outputs can contain up to 40 million pixels, with a maximum of 16,000 pixels on either side. Limits keep conversion practical in your browser.
